Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle: Update 8-23-2010
Everything is still going great and I feel great about what I am doing as far as my health goes.
I am still going to the gym about 6 days a week. The weight is no longer coming off as fast as it did when I began. But I am still fitting into clothes that are sized much smaller every week.
I have been reading articles about this and the articles tell me that this is normal so I am not getting down about it.
I have been adding muscle mass and muscle weights more than fat.
I have been using calipers to measure my body fat % but the results I am getting vary from every test so I’m not quite confident with the results. I am going to have to do a little more research on measuring body fat %.
All that being said, I am still quite motivated and I feel better everyday.
I have also caught a few more habitual thoughts that have been rattling around in my head that may have caused me to get back to old habits as far as my health and fitness but I caught them and I am glad I did. Thank you Lee Milteer and your Habit Busting System!
I am finding that implementing the actions necessary to become healthy and changing my habitual thoughts is equally important to the success that I am seeing.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle: Update 8-8-2010
Everything is still going very well.
More people are noticing the weight loss and it feels really good when someone notices.
The weight loss is slowing a little bit but the muscle mass is increasing. So I am not overly concerned about weight the scale says anymore.
I am still eating very well day in and day out, I do allow for half a day of whatever I want to eat and drink, usually on the weekend, but I find that I still keep myself in check during that time. I think it is because of the habitual thinking that I have changed. I have to give credit to Lee Milteer’s Habit Busting System for helping me with the habit change.
Getting up everyday really early to go to the gym has been getting easier and easier. I am now getting up at around 3:45 AM to go to the gym and it has really helped me in other areas as well because I am getting started earlier on other productive tasks.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle: Update 7-31-2010
Things continue to progress well.
The reason why many of us fail to reach our fitness goals, is because of the habitual thoughts and actions that we take. Some of these thoughts have been working on us for many years and we may not even know that they are there.
Here is a personal example:
I was looking in the mirror and the thought entered my mind, “Be careful, you don’t want to get too skinny.” I caught this thought that was rattling around in my head.
Now just some quick background, I have gotten to where I am right now in my fitness level but this has always been the point at which I would start to slide back into old habits and the waist line would start to expand again.
But this time I caught the thought that was constantly holding me back from getting to where I wanted to go in this area.
The thought that I caught was “Be careful, you don’t want to get too skinny.” and this thought was formed in my mind when I was 8 – 10 years old. At that age, I was constantly teased about being skinny, and I hated it. From that point till the day I caught that thought, I am convinced that I would have continued my yo-yo fitness level and would have probably ended up with some serious health issues when I got older.
But…
After catching that hidden thought that was rattling around in my head for 33 years, I am more motivated then ever to reach my fitness goal and to stay there until the good Lord calls me home.
I would not have caught that thought without the help of Lee Milteer’s Habit Busting System. I am currently using this system to help me replace limiting thought and action habits that are holding me back from the goals I seek. I know that it can work for you as well, make sure to check it out!
Prior to this week I has wearing a size 38 belt that was pulled to the last hole, I am proud to say that I had to buy a size 36 belt and I am already two holes into the belt.
I also put on a pair of pants that are size 34, they were a little snug but I could where them without feeling like I was going to pop.
I am currently at 18.6% body fat and that is down from 29% which is where I was when I started, I have about 8.6% to go and I have reached my goal. I am currently working on getting my maintenance diet in place for when I get there. That way I know where I need to be and what to do from there. That is also where I will be working on increasing my muscle mass.
I hope this helps you in your health and fitness goals!
